As I am writing this, there are three (3) days, three (3) hours and thirty (30) minutes until three (3) girls move into The Penthouse. Ria, Roseanne and Rosario. It's going to be really nice. See you soon Urbana.

dilemma

Here is the dilemma of the day yall: I am volunteering at Lollapalooza today and passing out programs from 3-7(Come visit me. I don't know where I will be) This is conveniently when all the groups I am even vaguely interesting in seeing are performing. Now, do I disappoint Perry Farrell and ditch my volunteer shirt to sneak away and see Fleet Foxes, or do I hold up my end of the volunteer deal and wait until my shift is over and the only act I can see is Depeche Mode:/ ?

Maybe if I show my team lead my expert collage of my escape plan to hang out with FF, they will find me very charming and let me go and never return to serving the sweaty masses.

UPDATE!: After passing out programs in the pouring rain for half an hour, I was assigned to security detail of the 'Access Booth' at the Playstation Stage. This was code for 'you look so sad and damp from all this horrible rain, why don't you go stand on this platform with the kids with broken legs so you have a really great view of the Fleet Foxes show'

today at work the question of the day was "What Diva Are You" and everyone said I was Dolly Parton for sure! Niki, I thought you would be happy and proud to hear this.

fiery furnaces in w-w-w-willienium park tomorrow

I just found out about this but Fiery Furnaces are playing tomorrow in Millenium Park at 4:30 as park of the "Great Performers of Illinois" series. Me and my blogging cohort, Niki, as well as every other Chicago Young Artist (we are all young artists) are gonna be there. the Fiery Furnaces are from the 1 n only Oak Park and the boy furnace went to our beloved alma mater [ill-ini] for a lil bit.

saddest story of the day

today at work this group of "girls" [girl-women] came in and they were all sort of drunk and wearing kitten ear headbands made out of cardboard and then one walked up to the cash wrap with a copy of "He's Just Not That Into You" and I started ringing her up and halfway through she said "oh. I found it in the $5 bin I thought it was on sale. Nevermind." and then walked away.

or maybe that's happy story. who knows!
