saddest story of the day

today at work this group of "girls" [girl-women] came in and they were all sort of drunk and wearing kitten ear headbands made out of cardboard and then one walked up to the cash wrap with a copy of "He's Just Not That Into You" and I started ringing her up and halfway through she said "oh. I found it in the $5 bin I thought it was on sale. Nevermind." and then walked away.

or maybe that's happy story. who knows!

lake trip (fail)

We saw the Dirty Projectors play in Millennium Park and then went to Pizanos for MGD and spinach pizza and then we were going to walk to the lake but Ria tricked us and we put our feet in a fountain instead.

It sure took long enough, but now we're both safely home in Chicago.

right now is serious time for ria and niki. we are doing some homework and drinking tall glasses of water before we go dance till we die at harvest house. sarah had a pot luck tonight and we had sherbert and wine and some lobster bisque. serious students in this apartment.
